Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 49616:

Minerals Species: Quartz var. Amethyst with Calcite.
Location of mineral deposit: Alto Uruguai, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
Description: Lustrous purple amethyst quartz crystals to 30 mm with one side partially coated with flattened rhombohedral translucent colorless calcite crystals to 10 mm. The amethyst crystals form a high, center ridge running through the middle of the cluster. All crystals are complete and undamaged except one that is chipped. from my personal collection.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 12x11x5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-30 mm.
Price: $225 (plus shipping).
