Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 51438:

Minerals Species: Witherite.
Location of mineral deposit: Cave-in-Rock District, Hardin County, Illinois.
Description: Translucent beige-colored hexagonal witherite crystals in compound crystal composed of many parallel witherite crystals in a stacked formation with convex termination. The witherite fluoresces bright white under UV illumination. All crystals are complete and undamaged, except the outer edges where it was attached to surrounding matrix. Ex. Larry Krause (1945-2010) collection.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 6x5.5x4.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 5-60 mm.
Price: $325 (plus shipping).
