Minerals Species: Diamond (2.55 carat pale yellow-green macle, twinned crystal).
Location of mineral deposit: Jwaneng Mine, Naledi River Valley, Botswana.
Description: Gem-grade transparent diamond crystal that has no flaw or inclusions in the center of the crystal, though there is an inclusion near one end. The complex crystal form is due to twinning on the {111} plane following the Spinel Law of twinning. No damage.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 9x5.5x5 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 9 mm.
