Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 52996:

Minerals Species: Grossular Garnet.
Location of mineral deposit: Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos, Québec, Canada.
Description: Lustrous transparent grossular garnet crystals covering one face of grossular vein with green diopside on the rear. The grossular garnet crystals are medium orange-brown color, dodecahedral form, with excellent internal clarity. Though the crystals are clean and in good condition, a few show damage upon close inspection, but they are minor compared to the relative size of the specimen.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 4x3x1.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 3-13 mm
Price: $325 (plus shipping).
