Minerals Species: Spodumene var. Kunzite on Quartz.
Location of mineral deposit: Nuristan Province, Afghanistan.
Description: Large 60 mm transparent kunzite crystal, the pink gem variety of the mineral species spodumene, on a colorless-gray 80 mm translucent quartz crystal. The kunzite crystal is striated with chisel-shaped termination. Specimens of kunzite on matrix are rare. No damage.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 11x7x4 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 60-80 mm.
Price: $400 net (plus shipping).
