Minerals Species: Malachite.
Location of mineral deposit: Shaba Copper Belt, Democratic Republic of the Congo (Zaire).
Description: Complexly crystallized fibrous dark-green malachite crystals in hemispherical aggregates to 25 mm diameter. The fibrous structure gives the sides and bottom surfaces of the malachite a chatoyant luster. No damage.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 10x5x3 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-6 mm.
Price: $125 (plus shipping).
