Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 53152:

Minerals Species: Quartz var. Smoky Quartz.
Location of mineral deposit: Sierra Blanca, White Mountain Wilderness, Lincoln County, New Mexico.
Description: Lustrous transparent smoky quartz crystal with no matrix attached. The smoky coloration is internally zoned with phantom-growth patterns visible throughout. The prism faces are slightly striated. Though the crystals are clean and in good condition, a few show damage upon close inspection, but they are minor compared to the relative size of the specimen. Collected by John Medici in Sept. 2003. This site is now closed to collecting..
Overall size of mineral specimen: 9x2x1.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 19-90 mm.
