Minerals Species: Almandine Garnet.
Location of mineral deposit: Fauske, Norland, Norway.
Description: Aesthetic cluster of dark red (nearly black) dodecahedral almandine garnet crystals to 22 mm with slender prismatic staurolite crystals to 20 mm in contrasting gray schist matrix. Most crystals are complete and undamaged, but a few crystals are incomplete.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 15x9x4 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 3-22 mm.
Price: $275 (plus shipping).
