Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 53710:

Minerals Species: Sphalerite on Prehnite.
Location of mineral deposit: O and G Industries Southbury Quarry, Southbury, New Haven County, Connecticut.
Description: Prominent 4 mm yellow-green sphalerite crystal on translucent green prehnite with remnants of colorless calcite around the edges. Sphalerite, a sulfide, is rare at this locality and sought-after by collectors in the area. No damage. From my personal collection; collected by Bill Barrett.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 8x7x4 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 4 mm.
Price: $95 (plus shipping).
