Minerals Species: Axinite-(Fe).
Location of mineral deposit: La Rampe des Commères, Bourg d'Oisans, Isère, Rhône-Alpes, France. (Type Locality for Axinite-(Fe)) Click here to see other minerals from Type localities.
Description: Large single crystal of transparent brown axinite with lustrous crystal faces. This is a good large crystal for this mineral species though there are many small imperfection visible on the crystal ends where the crystal contacted the surrounding rock. Ex. Howard Belsky (1959?-1987).
Overall size of mineral specimen: 32x20x8 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 32 mm.
Price: $95 (plus shipping).
