Minerals Species: Azurite in clay matrix.
Location of mineral deposit: Malbunka Mine, Areyonga, Northern Territory, Australia.
Description: Two interconnected disc-shaped concretions to 22 mm diameter of blue azurite crystals exposed on the face of white clay matrix. The top edge is flat where it contacted an adjacent azurite disc. No damage. (clay=water-soluble).
Overall size of mineral specimen: 5x4.5x2 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-2 mm.
Price: $48 (plus shipping).
