Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 54889:

Minerals Species: Quartz (Japan-law twinned).
Location of mineral deposit: Llallagua Mine, Potosí Department+, Bolivia.
Description: Transparent quartz crystals to 30 mm with partial coating of a white mineral, probably muscovite. Perched at the top center is a well displayed V-shaped formation of flattened quartz crystals that are twinned following the Japan Law of quartz twinning. Though the crystals are clean and in good condition, a few show damage upon close inspection, but they are minor compared to the relative size of the specimen.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 7.5x7x5.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: micro to 30 mm.
Price: $400 net (plus shipping).
