Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 55105:

Minerals Species: Vanadinite var. Endlichite.
Location of mineral deposit: Ahumada Mine, Sierra de Los Lamentos, Chihuahua, Mexico.
Description: Rich cluster of elongated transparent brown As-rich vanadinite crystals in diverging, spray-like formations. The crystals taper to flat terminations. Endlichite is an obsolete name and now called arsentian (arsenic-rich) vanadinite. The specimen formed in a cavity with many crystals intersecting in all directions. Most crystals are complete except in areas where they intersected adjacent crystals in the cavity. Ex. Dr. N. Luppescu, acquired from Pala Int. in 2001; ex. Burminco.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 8x6x5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 0.5-12.0 mm.
