Minerals Species: Quartz var. Amethyst Quartz.
Location of mineral deposit: Fehérhegy, between Nyíri and Telkibánya, Zemplén Mountains, Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, Hungary.
Description: Large triangular plate of finely crystallized translucent purple amethyst quartz crystals in a 10 mm layer. The drusy crystals and purple color make these specimens popular with jewelers and lapidary artists. No damage. Collected in 2007 by Pálinkás Laszló.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 11x8x2 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 10 mm.
Price: $125 (plus shipping).
