Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 56001:

Minerals Species: Proustite.
Location of mineral deposit: St. Andreasberg District, 25 km SE of Clausthal-Zellerfeld, Harz Mountains, Lower Saxony, Germany.
Description: Lustrous red-metallic proustite crystals lining cavities in massive crystalline proustite. The proustite shows red translucency when illuminated from the rear. Many distinct proustite crystals are visible, especially when viewed under magnification. All crystals are complete and undamaged, except the outer edges where it was attached to surrounding matrix. Ex. Joe Cilen (1916-1997) #10085a; ex. R. Hauck in 1981.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 19x19x11 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-2 mm
Price: $195 (plus shipping).
