Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 56144:

Minerals Species: Topaz.
Location of mineral deposit: Shigar Valley, Skardu District, Gilgit-Baltistan (Northern Areas), Pakistan.
Description: Large sherry-colored translucent-to-transparent topaz crystal with lustrous prism faces and termination composed of many smaller parallel crystal faces that simultaneously reflect illumination. The translucency is caused by microscopic bubble inclusions. Though the crystals are clean and in good condition, a few show damage upon close inspection, but they are minor compared to the relative size of the specimen.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 5x5x4.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 50 mm
Price: $400 net (plus shipping).
