Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 59817:

Minerals Species: Rutile (twinned crystals).
Location of mineral deposit: Mount Kapudzhukh, Caucasus Mountains, Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Azerbaijan.
Description: Lustrous dark red-black rutile crystals lining a shallow cavity in gray quartz-rich matrix. The rutile crystals are complexly twinned and exhibit translucency in the thin areas. This rutile specimen sits upright nicely without additional support. All crystals are complete and undamaged, except the outer edges where it was attached to surrounding matrix.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 7x7x5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-18 mm
Price: $400 net (plus shipping).
