Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 61075:

Minerals Species: Quartz var. Smoky Quartz (Dauphiné Law Twins) with Muscovite.
Location of mineral deposit: Moat Mountain, west of North Conway, Carroll County, New Hampshire.
Description: Transparent smoky quartz crystal with lustrous faces that have suture patterns indicating it is twinned following the Dauphiné Law of quartz twinning. Internally the smoky quartz crystal is near flawless. Select rear faces have a muscovite coating. The termination of the crystal is chipped. Ex. Tom Penney collection, collected in the 1960s-70s..
Overall size of mineral specimen: 48x30x20 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 48 mm
