Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 62157:

Minerals Species: Diamond (2.57 carat fancy-yellow hemispherical crystal).
Location of mineral deposit: Mbuji-Mayi, 300 km east of Tshikapa, Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Description: Lustrous transparent fancy-yellow (slightly grayish) hemispherical natural diamond crystal that is a combination of cubic, octahedral and dodecahedral faces on the upper half and a flat bottom with striations. The diamond crystal is flawed internally. No damage.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 7.5x7.5x4.5 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 7.5 mm
