Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 63520:

Minerals Species: Pyrite and Stilbite.
Location of mineral deposit: railroad cut near Thomaston Dam, Litchfield County, Connecticut.
Description: Lustrous yellow-metallic pyrite crystals to 1.7 mm with translucent brown bladed stilbite crystals to 10 mm in fan-shaped aggregates on gray-brown matrix. The pyrite crystals are cubic form with octahedral corner faces. The crystals grew in a constricted cavity preventing complete crystal development. Most visible crystals are complete and undamaged. Ex. Tom Penney collection, collected in the 1970s by a construction worker at the site..
Overall size of mineral specimen: 4x3.5x2 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 0.1-10.0 mm
Price: $45 (plus shipping).
