Minerals Species: Mimetite.
Location of mineral deposit: Cerro San Pedro, San Luis Potosi, Mexico.
Description: Shallow cavity in gray matrix lined with lustrous translucent yellow mimetite crystals in rosette-shaped aggregates to 2 mm across. No damage is visible to the unaided eye, minute edge chipping is visible under 20x magnification. Ex. Lucile Squier (1905-2007) collection #690.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 8x4.5x3.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 0.2 mm
Price: $45 (plus shipping).
