Minerals Species: Calcite.
Location of mineral deposit: Stank Mine, Furness District, Barrow, Cumbria, England.
Description: Several lustrous transparent colorless calcite crystals on hematite-rich matrix. The calcite crystals are hexagonal prismatic form with terminations composed of scalenohedral faces topped with rhombohedral faces. The crystal faces are clean and in good condition, the outer edges show minor wear. Ex. Mort Metersky collection.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 28x25x24 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 9-24 mm
Price: $28 (plus shipping).
