Minerals Species: Diamond (1.58 carat cuttable fancy-yellow macle, twinned crystal).
Location of mineral deposit: Orapa Mine, south of the Makgadikgadi Salt Plains, Botswana.
Description: Lustrous transparent yellow diamond crystal with triangular shape due to twinning on the {111} octahedral plane following the Spinel Law of twinning (macle). The diamond has excellent clarity and convex faces giving bright sparkle. Two small inclusions. No damage.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 9x8x3 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 9 mm
