Minerals Species: Diamond (3.35 carat colorless cavernous crystal).
Location of mineral deposit: Diavik Mine, East Island, Lac de Gras, Northwest Territories, Canada.
Description: Lustrous transparent colorless diamond crystal exhibiting rare cavernous form with raised crystal edges and depressed centers in the faces (hoppered). In the trade these cavernous crystals are known as inversion, or negative crystals. No damage.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 8x8x7 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 8 mm
