Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 66177:

Minerals Species: Calcite.
Location of mineral deposit: Elmwood Mine, Carthage, Smith County, Tennessee.
Description: Large single crystal of golden-orange calcite with lustrous crystal faces. The calcite crystal is scalenohedral form, with milky core and transparent upper half with deep color (not like the pale crystals being found currently). Two edges are bruised. The crystal is clean and undamaged except the tip of the termination shows a small cleavage face. Collected ca. 1990.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 15x8x8 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 15 cm
Price: $450 net (plus shipping).
