Minerals Species: Galena (Spinel-Law Twins) with Chalcopyrite.
Location of mineral deposit: Dalnegorsk, Primorskiy Kray, Russia.
Description: Yellow-metallic chalcopyrite crystals to 7 mm on lustrous gray-metallic galena crystals that are twinned on the octahedral {111} plane following the Spinel Law of twinning resulting in large flattened crystals with twin planes on the outer edges. Complete and undamaged except the contact where it was formerly attached to surrounding matrix. Ex. D. Miller collection #2073.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 5x3.5x2.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: micro to 30 mm
Price: $40 (plus shipping).
