Minerals Species: Arfvedsonite (rare twinned terminated crystals) on Microcline.
Location of mineral deposit: Hurricane Mountain, east of Intervale, Carroll County, New Hampshire.
Description: Terminated lustrous black 8 mm arfvedsonite crystal on tan-colored blocky microcline crystals to 15 mm from the famous find on the east slope of Hurricane Mountain. Terminated matrix specimens of arfvedsonite are rare from this locality. Ex. Tom Penney collection, collected in the 1960s-70s..
Overall size of mineral specimen: 30x25x15 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 3-15 mm
