Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 69433:

Minerals Species: Quartz var. Smoky Quartz.
Location of mineral deposit: Hobbs Brook, east slope of Blue Mountain, Albany, Carroll County, New Hampshire.
Description: Lustrous translucent smoky quartz crystal from an obscure locality near the famous Moose Pocket. The outer 1-4 mm thick zone of the quartz crystal is a milky colorless layer over a core of dark smoky quartz. The termination of the crystal is chipped. Ex. Tom Penney collection, collected in the 70s. Found in the float below the famous Moose Pocket discovered by Peter Samuelson in 1988..
Overall size of mineral specimen: 7x5x4.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 60 mm
Price: $45 (plus shipping).
