Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 70018:

Minerals Species: Arfvedsonite (rare terminated twinned crystals).
Location of mineral deposit: Hurricane Mountain, east of Intervale, Carroll County, New Hampshire.
Description: Lustrous black arfvedsonite crystals that are contact twinned as indicated by the staggered terminations that are mirror-images but at different heights. Terminated arfvedsonite crystals are rare from Hurricane Mountain. All surfaces and edges are clean and undamaged, except for a natural contact from another intersecting crystal (no longer present). Ex. Tom Penney collection, collected in the 1960s-70s..
Overall size of mineral specimen: 28x8x8 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 25 mm
