Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 70038:

Minerals Species: Diamond (9.63 carat gray-brown octahedral crystal).
Location of mineral deposit: Oranjemund District, southern coastal Namib Desert, Namibia.
Description: Large lustrous gray-brown natural diamond crystal with classic octahedral form and complex trigon crystallization patterns on the surfaces. The diamond crystal is transparent but the internal flaws with microscopic inclusions make it appear translucent. No damage is visible to the unaided eye, but minor damage is visible under 20x magnification.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 13x10x10 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 13 mm
