Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 70207:

Minerals Species: Smithsonite.
Location of mineral deposit: Lavrion (Laurium) Mining District, Attica Peninsula, Greece.
Description: Lustrous translucent blue smithsonite crystals to 1 mm on both front and rear of gray matrix. The smithsonite crystals are rounded habit over another mineral, possibly calcite, with silky luster caused by microscopic crystal faces on the surfaces. No damage. Ex. J. Durkos collection #708; acquired in 1971 from Lawrence H. Conklin (1933-2016).
Overall size of mineral specimen: 16.5x10.5x4 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1 mm
Price: $425 net (plus shipping).
