Minerals Species: Aragonite (pseudohexagonal twinned crystals).
Location of mineral deposit: Molina de Aragon, Guadalajara, Castilla-Leon, Spain. (Type Locality for Aragonite) Click here to see other minerals from Type localities.
Description: Large doubly-terminated translucent purple-gray aragonite crystals fully crystallized on all faces. The aragonite crystal are sixling-twinned, resulting in a pseudohexagonal crystal form. This is a large specimen for this classic locality. No damage. Ex. Dr. Eugene E. Sensel (1911-2000) collection #G753.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 10x6x4.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-60 mm
