Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 70273:

Minerals Species: Calcite over Fluorite.
Location of mineral deposit: Minerva #1 Mine, Cave-in-Rock District, Hardin County, Illinois.
Description: Lustrous transparent golden-brown scalenohedral calcite crystals in a rounded formation of parallel crystals over a core of fluorite. Though all crystals appear in good condition, upon close inspection, a few crystal terminations appear to be cleaved. Ex. Roy A. Smith (1935-2014) collection #M1768; acquired 9/1993 from miner Ewell Dutton.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 4.5x4x4 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 15 mm
Price: $225 (plus shipping).
