Minerals Species: Scapolite (Marialite-Meionite).
Location of mineral deposit: Dar-e-zu Mine, Kokscha Valley, Sar-e-Sang District, Badakshan, Afghanistan.
Description: Terminated crystals of translucent yellow scapolite with no matrix attached. Scapolite is classified as a mineral group composed of the mineral species meionite and marialite and testing is required to determine the exact species. The termination of the crystal is chipped.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 20x19x10 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 20 mm
