Minerals Species: Rhodochrosite.
Location of mineral deposit: Mont Saint-Hilaire, Québec, Canada.
Description: Thin transparent red-brown rhodochrosite crystal with no matrix attached. The rhodochrosite crystal has satin-like texture on the broad faces, with lustrous beveled edge faces. The rear edge was attached to matrix. The crystal faces are clean and in good condition, the outer edges show minor wear. collected ca. 1980.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 10x7x1.5 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 10 mm
Price: $36 (plus shipping).
