Detailed information on mineral specimen No. 71225:

Minerals Species: Calcite (pseudo-cubic habit) on Quartz.
Location of mineral deposit: Upper New Street Quarry, Paterson, Passaic County, New Jersey.
Description: Lustrous transparent colorless calcite crystals to 10 mm on lustrous transparent colorless quartz crystals to 4 mm on greenish basalt. The calcite crystals are rectangular cubes, but calcite is trigonal structure, so this habit is called pseudo-cubic. No damage. From my personal collection; collected ca. 1988.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 6x3.5x2.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-10 mm
Price: $16 (plus shipping).
