Minerals Species: Silver and Copper var. Half-breed.
Location of mineral deposit: Keweenaw Peninsula Copper District, Michigan.
Description: Rounded nugget of native silver (naturally occurring silver) intermixed with native copper. This specimen is about 50% silver. These combination silver-copper specimens are called half-breeds by local collectors. Weight: 2.9 grams. Collected ca. 1980.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 14x10x7 mm.
Price: $16 (plus shipping).
