Mineral Species: Pinakiolite.
Location of mineral deposit: Langban, Värmland, Sweden. (Type Locality for Pinakiolite) Click here to see other minerals from Type localities.
Description: Lustrous black rectangular platy pinakiolite crystals in calcite-hausmannite matrix. The calcite surrounding the pinakiolite crystals fluoresces bright orange under SW UV illumination. Ex. Excalibur-Cureton Company.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 28x25x18 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 0.1-2.2 mm
Price: $55 (plus shipping).
