Detailed information on mineral for sale No. 75557:

Mineral Species: Diamond (9.16 carat yellow complex triangular rough diamond).
Location of mineral deposit: Vaal River Mining District, Northern Cape Province, South Africa.
Description: Very large transparent yellow natural rough diamond with unusual triangular shape and complex parallel crystal faces on all sides. The diamond appears to be a cluster, but all crystal faces are in parallel orientation indicating it is monocrystalline. No damage is visible to the unaided eye, but minor damage is visible under 20x magnification. Fluoresces very bright white-pink-orange under 365 nm LW UV illumination.
Overall size of mineral specimen: 16x14x9 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 16 mm
