Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 77050:

Mineral Species: Beryl var. Red Beryl.
Location of origin: Lavender Claim, Wah Wah Mountains, Juab County, Utah.
Description: Two intersecting doubly-terminated lustrous translucent red-violet beryl crystal with microscopic white subsurface inclusions. The red beryl crystal is prismatic hexagonal form with flat terminations composed of many smaller parallel crystal faces. The specimen was extracted from solid rock, not from a cavity, resulting in minor surface imperfections where the surrounding matrix was removed. Collected ca. 1975.
Overall size: 9x7x6 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 5 mm
Price: $65 (plus shipping).
