Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 79999:

Mineral Species: Beryl var. Emerald.
Location of origin: Ural Mountains, Russia.
Description: Many lustrous translucent dark-green emerald crystals, the green gem variety of the mineral species beryl, in dark biotite schist. The emerald crystals are in sub-parallel orientation and have microscopic crystallization patterns on the prism faces. The specimen was extracted from solid rock, not from a cavity, resulting in minor surface imperfections where the surrounding matrix was removed.
Overall size: 34x22x13 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 4-14 mm
Price: $125 (plus shipping).
