Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 80401:

Mineral Species: Fluorite and Sphalerite.
Location of origin: Minerva #1 Mine, Rosiclare Level, Cave-in-Rock District, Hardin County, Illinois.
Description: Lustrous dark-purple cubic fluorite crystals to 26 mm on a complex group of dark brown-black sphalerite crystals to 25 mm. The fluorite crystals have yellow core zones that fluoresce white-yellow under UV illumination. No damage is visible to the unaided eye, but minor damage is visible under 20x magnification. Ex. R. Holmes collection Flu-56; ; originally acquired from R. Lillie; mined in 1991.
Overall size: 9.5x5x4.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 3-26 mm
Price: $125 (plus shipping).
