Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 80562:

Mineral Species: Manganite.
Location of origin: Caland Mine, Atikokan, Ontario, Canada.
Description: Lustrous black manganite crystals in subparallel crystal aggregates to 8 mm across scattered over lustrous transparent quartz crystals to 1 mm coating one face of brown matrix. The manganite crystals are striated prisms with multi-terminations. The crystals grew in a constricted cavity preventing complete crystal development. Most visible crystals are complete and undamaged except a few places where they contacted the cavity wall.
Overall size: 7.5x5.5x2 cm.
Size of individual crystals: micro to 8 mm
Price: $195 (plus shipping).
