Mineral Species: Pyrite with Chalcocite coating. Location of origin: Milpillas Mine, Cuitaca, Sonora, Mexico. Description: Large metallic pyrite crystals in contrasting white clay-rich matrix. The pyrite crystals have gray-metallic color caused by an overgrowth of metallic chalcocite. Note the post-crystallization deformation. One of the best from this one-time find.
