Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 81045:

Mineral Species: Corundum var. Ruby.
Location of origin: An Phu, Luc Yen, Yenbai Province, Vietnam.
Description: Elongated tapered hexagonal translucent pink-red ruby crystal, the pink gem variety of the mineral species corundum, with horizontal striations on the prism faces and diagonal crystallization patterns that are typical in corundum crystals. Fluoresces red under LW UV illumination. Weight: 7.18 carats.
Overall size: 16x7x5.5 mm.
Size of individual crystals: 16 mm
Price: $35 (plus shipping).
