Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 81145:

Mineral Species: Quartz (stalactitic) with Goethite.
Location of origin: Catalan Agate-Amethyst District, Southern Paraná Basalt Basin, Artigas, Uruguay.
Description: Lustrous transparent pale-gray to colorless quartz crystals to 3 mm with tapered sprays of brown goethite microcrystals. The quartz crystals grew over another unknown mineral, resulting in finger-shaped stalactites to 30 mm high. No damage. Ex. Miller #M2897.
Overall size: 10x7x3.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: micro to 3 mm
Price: $45 (plus shipping).
