Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 81243:

Mineral Species: Quartz var. Amethyst Quartz.
Location of origin: Piedra Parada, near Las Vigas, Tatatila, Veracruz, Mexico.
Description: Cluster of intersecting lustrous transparent purple amethyst crystals with a thin crust of brown matrix on the bottom where they attached. The amethyst crystals are elongated hexagonal prisms with terminations dominated by three alternating faces. No damage.
Overall size: 7x4.5x4.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 6-60 mm
Price: $400 net (plus shipping).
