Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 81436:

Mineral Species: Azurite.
Location of origin: Kamariza Mines, Lavrion (Laurium) Mining District, Attica Peninsula, Greece.
Description: Lustrous transparent-to-translucent blue azurite crystals to 2 mm intermixed with colorless transparent gypsum and microcrystals of several unidentified minerals. The azurite crystals are elongated prismatic form, in aggregates of parallel crystals. No damage is visible to the unaided eye, but minor damage is visible under 20x magnification.
Overall size: 8x4x2.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: micro to 2 mm
Price: $48 (plus shipping).
