Description of Mineral Specimen for sale No. 81524:

Mineral Species: Quartz var. Amethyst Quartz.
Location of origin: Piedra Parada, near Las Vigas, Tatatila, Veracruz, Mexico.
Description: Intersecting doubly-terminated lustrous transparent purple amethyst quartz crystals to 50 mm on smaller of lustrous transparent colorless quartz crystals to 12 mm. The amethyst crystals are water-clear in the terminations with milky center sections. No damage. From my private collection; ex. Tim Swan collection at River Valley Mineral Museum (Rumford, Maine) #600.
Overall size: 5x3.5x2.5 cm.
Size of individual crystals: 1-50 mm
Price: $400 net (plus shipping).
