| Mineral Species: Bournonite (twinned crystals). Location of origin: Yaogangxian Mine, 32 km southeast of Chenzhou, Hunan, China. Description: Large lustrous gray-metallic complexly twinned bournonite crystals with parallel crystallization patterns on the faces and pyramidal terminations. One area of the bournonite crystals has remnants of matrix where they were attached. The specimen formed in a cavity with many crystals intersecting in all directions. Most crystals are complete except in areas where they intersected adjacent crystals in the cavity. Bournonite, PbCuSbS3, is an uncommon lead-copper sulfosalt mineral. Weight: 47.9 grams.
